Hudson Friends have adopted a 2 mile section of NYS Route 9G, extending from the Stewart's Shops Gas and Convenience near the Rip Van Winkle Bridge to town.

We have completed 3 years of service, removing many bags of trash from the side of the road. We will resume trash pick-up in the spring.

We appreciate the volunteers for their service and care of our planet and community, and to Donna for coordinating the clean-up efforts!

Have you ever wondered about the Quaker practice of posing queries? That was the topic of our March Quaker Conversation. Together we explored the history of queries as well as the purpose of them. We learned that according to Howard Brinton in Friends for 350 Years (1952), the first recorded query was, "Are love and unity maintained amongst you?" For those new to Friends queries, the Quakerspeak video linked here provides a short explanation of how they are used.
