Friends General Conference

Together we nurture the spiritual vitality of Friends

Redwood Forest Friends Meeting

The Santa Rosa Quaker Meeting -- a spirit-led gathering we invite you to come explore

Life in these times throws us challenges like never before, where peace, equality, inward searching and integrity are signposts on a journey, and doorways to meaningful lives.

For Friends -- Quakers as we are better known -- successful encounters with each other and the wider world ask that we take strength from an "inner light," the Divine as sought by individuals of diverse backgrounds and honored by seekers in a gathered community.

Beyond that we reject dogma and embrace these basic tenets: authenticity in word and action as antidote to self deception; peace within, across the larger community and in the world at large, as corrective to violence and oppression; simplicity as the right ordering of our lives where the seeds of truth, love and honesty bear nourishment for the spirit; and equality, born of a conviction that there is that of God in everyone...rich, poor, native born, immigrant, and across and all ethnicities.
