News & Announcements

Dear Friends, Since late December there has been no in-person worship at Hockessin Friends Meeting because of the surge in COVID transmission. Recently the positivity rate has declined to a point where the Ad Hoc Committee for Re-opening decided that it is safe to resume in-person worship. Therefore, on February 20 and 27, HFM will be open for in-person worship. HFM will still require that members and attenders aged two and older wear masks when inside the meetinghouse and other HFM buildings. All HEPA filters will be operating.

Friends,

In light of the rapid spread of the omicron variant and agreement within the re-opening committee, Hockessin Friends Meeting will suspend in-person gatherings (including worship and First Day School) for the remaining Sundays in January 2022.  Worship services will be provided via Zoom format only.

Please note that the workday scheduled for Jan 9 will be rescheduled for a later date.

Due to rising concerns about COVID and recent cases within the Meeting, we will not meet in person for worship at the Meetinghouse this Sunday, 12/26. Meeting for worship will take place virtually on Zoom (see information below). We will also meet only via Zoom Sunday, 1/2/2022, for meeting for business and worship. We expect to meet in person and via Zoom (hybrid) starting again on Sunday, 1/9/2022, but please watch for any updates by email and on the Meeting's website.
