Memphis Friends were a bingo square for attenders at the Memphis Library's Pride Kick-off. Susan organized a colorful marbleized bookmark activity for children and children-at-heart. We also brought along some of the books we share with our children in First Day School, as well as a new copy of the Bayard Rustin biography to donate to the library collection. This was Memphis Friends' third year to participate, and our first chance to witness the children's parade!

Update: Several Friends helped with the TEP tabling and reported they enjoyed Pride this year. The central library has invited us to participate again in its Pride activities this September. Contact memphisfriendsmeeting@gmail.com for more information about how to volunteer for the library event.

Nine Friends and family contributed video clips for this year's video for the Benjamin L. Hooks Library's Pride event on September 4. Happy Pride!

Memphis Friends Meeting is also contributing a gift certificate to the in-person portion of the event. The gift certificate to Hidden Springs Nursery is in memory of Hector Black.
