Announcing a short course for interested members and attenders Introducing the history and principle elements of Quakerism.

"Quakerism 101" is held on 4 weekday evenings 7:00-9:15 during January and February each year at the meetinghouse.  For 2018, Session 1 is Thursday January 18th followed by the next 3 Thursdays:  January 25th, and February 1st and 8th.

You are invited to a presentation about the 2013 Quaker Pilgrimage to the Lake District in England on Friday, March 7th 7:00-9:00 pm.  We will be serving  English Tea, complete with homemade Icky Sticky Toffee Pudding, scones with clotted cream and jam, and small sandwiches. Members of Meeting who took part in the pilgrimage will share their experiences and how they impacted their spiritual journeys and strengthened ties to Quakers both at home and in England.

An invitation from Carolina Friends School to Durham Friends to join the School community in these upcoming occasions.

As part of the Friends School community (even though we don't see you everyday), we hope you'll join us for any of the upcoming events!

Durham Friends Meeting will participate again this year in the  North Carolina Pride Parade on Saturday, September 28 at 12:30 pm on Duke's East Campus.  The parade starts at 1:00pm.

From Ministry and Counsel

Some members and attenders of our Meeting have allergies to scents, including perfumes, colognes and products like hand creams that are highly scented. When such substances are present, these Friends must leave Meeting for Worship or move to a different part of the room.
