The Love That Overcomes

Every year in August, at the conclusion of the gathering of Friends from around New England ("NEYM"), an "Epistle" is prepared to send to Friends everywhere. This epistle/letter/communication seeks to capture both the practical and spiritual nature of the gathering. Attached is the most recent epistle from NEYM and one from Cuban Quakers.
Ministry and Counsel Committee is asking everyone to take the time to look over the 'queries' (questions) for 2017 in the attached document. Please answer the ones that 'speak to you' about our New Haven Friends Meeting community and your own spiritual journey.
Each year the responses are compiled to create the "state of society" report. It will be is shared with our meeting and the wider Quaker community - quarterly meeting and New England Yearly Meeting.
Quaker author Michael Birkel felt that we aren't hearing the whole truth about Islam. So he went out to discover it for himself.
Although originally published several years ago, this essay may still speak to your condition in this "time of almost daily astonishment and often righteous rage ....
