On September 16, 2016 Ruah Swennerfelt, a Quaker activist, homesteader, and author of the book, Rising to the Challenge: The Transition Movement and People of Faith, spoke at New Haven Friends Meeting.

New Haven Friends Meeting makes donations to local charities and national organizations.  The Peace and Social Outreach Committee reviews requests for charitable donations.
