One lesson is stamped on all things—this too will pass.  Understanding the primary truth of change has profound implications.  If we are to be free, we are asked to cultivate a mind that is free of grasping.  If we are to live this life with grace, we are asked to learn to embrace not only beginnings, but also endings.  If we are to love deeply, we learn not to demand that people stand still for us.

On the evening of May 25 a group of around 10 people, including Mar 

Valdecantos and Lisa Sexton, met by Zoom to hear about anti-racism

work done with support from two $2000 grants made in June 2021 from

the CVFM  memorial fund.

 

Lisa Sexton described work of the Say Their Names Northfield 

organization, which has a Facebook and a web presence, both readily

found by searching online.    Say Their Names was founded in the

aftermath of George Floyd's murder, and has been led partly by

The Cannon Valley Friends Meeting (Quakers) in Northfield has established a Memorial Fund to support small grants to individuals and organizations for projects that promote social justice, build an inclusive community,  and/or develop antiracist initiatives at the local level. Memorial Fund grants are made possible in memory of several Friends who have worked for and envisioned a more just world.

Elizabeth Anne Dahlsten Larson was a beloved wife, mother, community member, and someone who delighted those who met her.
