Mary Keane been busy working with Afghan refugees. She’s collecting for the refugees and they need rugs, dressers, chairs, vacuum cleaners, microwaves, pressure cookers, etc. IRIS is moving them into rentals and trying to furnish them.  She says some of these people/families only had 30 minutes to get to the airport for the airlift out and only had the clothes on their backs when they left. She’s working with a group called Merrie Movers that has worked with refugees from other conflicts.

We are encouraged to live lives that nurture both ourselves and the Earth. We are urged to pay attention to such concerns as population growth, climate change, sustainable energy policies, and right sharing of natural resources.
