Upper Susquehanna Quarterly Meeting
Fiber and Handwork Gathering
Saturday and Sunday, November 8th and 9th, 2014
Huntingdon Meeting House,
Cassidy Ave. Huntingdon, PA

Come join Friends of all ages for an hour or two or a whole weekend of fun with fiber and other handcrafts. Knitting, crocheting, spinning, felting, quilting and more. Bring your own supplies and skills or just come and let us share ours. Friendly lessons will be available all day.

Saturday

10am-noon – Fiber activities and lessons. Bring your own projects to work on and get help with problems or learn something new.

Noon – potluck – Bring a dish to share, place settings will be provided.

1:30pm-3pm – Campbell Plowden from State College Meeting will have a presentation on his work to support conservation and native communities in Peru. Campbell is the director of the Center for Amazon Community Ecology. He will also bring some of the crafts he sells to help support these communities for small repairs.

3pm-5pm – More time for handcrafts and lessons as well as work on a quilt for the Linus Project. Fabric will be provided but feel free to bring 5 1/2” squares in quilt weight cotton from your stash.

5-6:30pm – simple dinner & clean up

6:30-8pm or later - a relaxed evening of more fiber activities and some worship sharing

Sunday

8:30am blueberry pancake breakfast

10:30 Meeting for Worship

Noon – simple lunch

After lunch – finishing up projects and packing up
