While there are Epistles found through the Christian Scriptures (Bible New Testament), an Epistle in the Quaker tradition means an advisory or admonitory letter sent to a group of people. Current day Friends use the term "Epistle" to mean a letter sent by Yearly Meetings at the end of their Meetings for Worship with Attention to Business to all other Yearly Meerings of Quakers worldwide.
