The recent Climate Change Summit Meeting at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN and its keynote address by Paul Douglas, local meteorologist, on the topic "Climate Change: Natural Cycle or Troubling Trend?" has raised our community's awareness of the threat of climate change.

Mr. Douglas' talk is not available on the Internet, due to copyright restrictions, but there are other informative resouces that are available.  In an effort to support Cannon Valley Friends Meeting's recent Minute to make working on the issue of climate change a priority for the Meeting, I have included some resource information that will hopefully give all of us the opportunity to become more informed about this important topic.

There is an excellent address on Climate Change available on "YouTube" at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4Q271UaNPo.  This talk is entitled "The Scientific Case for Urgent Action to Limit Climate Change" and is presented by Professor Richard C. J. Somerville from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography.  Distinguished Emeritus Professor Somerville is a world-renowned climate scientist and author.

Other useful resources on Climate Change will be added to this page as they are identified.
