The Greater Northfield Sustainability Collaborative brings together participants from Carleton College and St. Olaf College and various community organizations to facilitate and coordinate sustainability initiatives in the greater Northfield area and to support implementation of Northfield’s commitment to the Minnesota Greenstep Cities Program.

The GNSC website is a great source of information on upcoming meetings, lectures, etc., on organizations and gatherings related to climate change and sustainability, such as updates from Northfield Area Community Solar, the Rice Lake State Park candlelight ski/hike/snowshoe event, and a public report and discussion of the recent Paris Climate talks.
