Pushed by civil war and terror and pulled by the promise of a better life, hundreds of thousands of people have fled the Middle East and Africa, risking their lives along the way.

This video is part of a series called QuakerSpeak, which is based on interviews with Friends from a variety of backgrounds.  Participating Quakers are asked to speak about topics from the perspective of their faith.  Videos are purposefully kept short, usually 3-6 minutes on average.

QuakerSpeak interviews are personal and intimate.  The purpose is to give viewers worldwide an experience that is entertaining, informative, inspiring, challenging, inviting, unifying and collaborative.
