What's New

How are we mindful of the needs of others, as we consider our own needs, in the further reopening process at Meeting?

Public

Help end Charlotte area book deserts by donating new and gently used children’s books to Promising Pages. The greatest need is for Pre-K to 5th grade books – especially those that feature characters from diverse or under-represented groups. Access the Promising Pages wish list for ideas and suggestions.

We’ll be collecting books at the meetinghouse through May. Look for the collection box just off the foyer.

Public

Quaker Earthcare Witness is hosting monthly online worship sharing groups in partnership with Friends General Conference. In worship sharing, we gather in small groups to focus on a particular question (or questions) to explore our own experience and share with each other more deeply than we would in normal conversation.

Public

What unspoken needs are the people in my life expressing through their behaviors? Am I willing and able to meet those needs with understanding, patience and kindness?

Am I open to new growth and leadings that rise up in me?

“The present moment is filled with joy and happiness. If you are attentive, you will see it. (21)”
― Thich Nhat Hanh, Peace Is Every Step: The Path of Mindfulness in Everyday Life

Am I attentive to the joy and happiness of the present time?

Public

How do I connect the peace I'm looking for in myself with the peace I'm looking for in the world?

What are you doing to bring your self, your community, and the world into balance?

How do we balance our abhorrence of the attack on Ukraine with our belief in that of God in every person?

Public

What is your faith calling you to do today?

Do we appreciate and have gratitude for some part of each day?
