4/10/16: Making a Difference on Climate Change: a Quaker Approach

Eileen Flanagan

Eileen Flanagan will speak about the new focus of EQAT (Earth Quaker Action Team) on solar panels, which promotes both renewable energy as well as green jobs. She will also discuss effective social activism while being Spirit-led.

Eileen is the Board Clerk of EQAT and the former assistant clerk of Chestnut Hill Meeting. Her most recent book, Renewable: One Woman’s Search for Simplicity Faithfulness, and Hope, tells the story of the midlife spiritual crisis that led her to become a leader in nonviolent direct action for climate justice.

This program is part of a month-long focus on environmental issues in April at the Chestnut Hill Quaker Meeting.  All are welcome.  20 E. Mermaid Lane, Philadelphia, PA  19118.  For more information, visit:  www.chestnuthillquakers.org
