On Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 11:45 a.m., American Friends Service Committee General Secretary Joyce Ajlouny will share highlights of AFSC’s current work for peace and justice both in the US and internationally. She will be accompanied by AFSC’s South Region Associate Director Anyango Reggy, and Sanctuary Everywhere Initiative National Coordinator Lori Khamala, who will talk about ASFC’s work in our region and how Friends can become involved.
Lunch will be provided by Chapel DURHAM FRIENDS MEETING NEWSLETTER • FIRST MONTH 2 Hill FM who will join us for this event.
Joyce has served since September of 2017 as the General Secretary of AFSC, where she is responsible for the organization’s worldwide peace and social justice programs. A lifelong Quaker, Joyce grew up in Palestine and has lived in the US for the past 7 years. She is a member of Ramallah Monthly Meeting and attends several monthly meetings in the US.
