Friday, March 7, 2014, 7:00-9:00 pm at the Meetinghouse
You are invited to a presentation about the 2013 Quaker Pilgrimage to the Lake District in England on Friday, March 7th 7:00-9:00 pm. We will be serving English Tea, complete with homemade Icky Sticky Toffee Pudding, scones with clotted cream and jam, and small sandwiches. Members of Meeting who took part in the pilgrimage will share their experiences and how they impacted their spiritual journeys and strengthened ties to Quakers both at home and in England.
We will have a slideshow of some of the significant sites from the birthplace of Quakerism including Pendle Hill, Swarthmore Hall, Lancaster Prison, and a number of the earliest Meetinghouses.
