- We are a community of people who gather for worship and fellowship on Sunday mornings, and who attempt to carry the experience of spiritual centeredness and guidance into our lives during the week.
- All are welcome to join us as we worship in the traditional “unprogrammed” manner of Friends. We have no ritual, liturgy, creed, sermon or prepared music. Our activities are organized and conducted by members and attenders as volunteers. We have a few part-time staff, but no paid clergy.
- We strive to be a welcoming and affirming faith community. We believe that there is that of God in every person, and that diversity enriches our community. We are committed to pursuing peace, justice, and equality, and to treating everyone with love and respect.
- For information about our manner of worship, values and more click on the "About" page on the bar above and peruse the sub-pages "Durham Friends" and "Quaker Q & A".
- Durham Meeting was founded in 1937. It is affiliated both with North Carolina Yearly Meeting (Conservative) and with the Friends General Conference through its local affiliate, Piedmont Friends Fellowship.
- We welcome your inquiry or visit!
