9:00 – 10:00 AM  in the Teen Room at the Meeting House.

This month we will discuss two articles related to Parker Palmer. The first article provides something of a biographical overview of Parker Palmer’s background.  The article is available here:  http://www.talbot.edu/ce20/educators/protestant/parker_palmer/

The second article Palmer wrote this article about his experience of coming to Quakerism through time he spent at Pendle Hill.  It is available here:   https://www.fgcquaker.org/system/files/cloud_attachments/Parker%20Palmer%20A%20Great%20People%20Waiting%20to%20be%20Gathered.pdf

Parker founded the Center for Courage and Renewal which offers a variety of programs to help individuals grow and express their spirituality in their lives, work, and relationships.    One method employed by the Center is The Circle of Trust Approach, which some have said is like Quaker Worship Sharing and Clearness Committees.

Those interested in learning more about Palmer’s work can find information and resources on the Center’s website here: http://www.couragerenewal.org/
