The Framingham Friends Meeting First Day School (children's program) is growing, with 11 children now on our list (although not all attend each week).  Upcoming events:

3/23-25: Yearly Meeting Elementary Retreat, Westport Meeting. Topic: Bread Retreat (the spirituality of making homemade bread)
4/1: Easter Egg Hunt
4/15: What are Quakers? (we will be reading stories and role-playing about this topic several times this spring)
4/22: Make and distribute "tick tubes" that have significantly reduced the tick population in our field
4/27-29: Yearly Meeting Junior High Retreat, New Haven Meeting.  Tpic: Whatever Lifts Up Your Heart is a Prayer
5/12-13: Spring BBQ, Campout, and Mothers Day Breakfast, with Worcester and Wellesley First Day Schools invited
5/18-20: Yearly Meeting Elementary Retreat, Woolman Hill Quaker Center.  Topic: Dear God, I have so many questions!
6/10: Field trip to Dartmouth Monthly Meeting in Smith Neck, MA.  This is a "programmed" Quaker meeting.  Adults are invited to join us!
6/15-17: Yearly Meeting Special 8th Grader Retreat, Westport Meeting.  Theme: Challenges, Triumphs & Movin' On

Child care is now available for infants and toddlers with advance notice.  Please call or email Anne Anderson (978-807-6435, anne@ahadcb.org).  A protected play space has been created with appropriate toys.

When our older children do not have projects or retreats, we are studying Quaker history and the various major groups of Quakers, culminating in our visit to Dartmouth Monthly Meeting - a "programmed" Quaker meeting, on June 10.

Other plans:
- - Set up a reading nook
- Plant wildflowers in the First Day School garden
- Service projects, such as baking snacks for Fellowship and cleaning up a piece of the meetinghouse
