Meeting for Worship - in-person and online
We welcome you to join us in what is known as "hybrid" worship: Friends may join us to worship in person on Sunday mornings at 10:30 and Wednesday evenings at 6:45 or connect to our online worship services at those times.
Children are very welcome to join us! On Sunday mornings, we have a structured program for them during the school year and less structured activities during the summer. Please visit our page about children in the Meeting.
If you wish to come to the meetinghouse to worship, we ask that you follow these guidelines:
- If you are showing any signs of illness (especially fever, coughing, or loss of sense of taste or smell), please worship at home.
- While face masks are not required, you are welcome to wear one if you wish.
- If you give a message during worship, speak into the microphone that will be set up in the center of the meeting room so that everyone who is worshipping virtually can hear.
- If you test positive for COVID-19 after attending worship at the meetinghouse, inform the Clerk of Meeting immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For online worship, we are using Zoom, a popular teleconferencing service. On Sundays, we'll open the online meeting room at 10:00 a.m. so that people have time to log in. At 10:30, we'll begin worship. When worship ends at 11:30, we'll keep the meeting room open until noon so that people can chat.
On Wednesday nights, the link is open around 6:50 p.m. for people to greet each other, read queries, and begin silent worship at 7 p.m. From 7:15 p.m. to 8pm there is a period of worship sharing. At 8pm we shift to informal discussion and socializing up to 8:30pm.
Here's the link to join: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85699754686?pwd=RFpML2YxY2JmMGFxUWRvT3RkSzRCUT09
When you click the link, you'll be prompted to download the Zoom app onto your computer or mobile device. If you haven't downloaded it already, follow the instructions for doing so when prompted.
Once you join the meeting, you'll see icons for muting/unmuting, volume control, and other options at the bottom of your screen.
While worshipping, please keep yourself muted to block out background noise. If you have a message, unmute yourself to speak, but then remute when you are finished. As always, allow some silence in between messages.
