Frederick Friends joined other sponsors in bringing renowned entomologist Dr. Doug Tallamy to Hood College on March 22. The talk, entitled “Networks for Life: Your Role in Stitching the Natural World Together,” is free and open to the public. The program is at 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 22 in Rosenstock Hall. 

Tallamy’s research led him to see how our current practices, including mown lawns, have managed to fragment the continent’s habitats. Shaking convention, Tallamy designed a way to stitch our broken ecosystem back into a functional whole. Now a national leader in landscape reform, he shows us how to transform our broken lands into a connected and thriving oasis for wildlife.
