Frederick Friends Meeting is a part of Baltimore Yearly Meeting, which is the regional organizing unit for the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in the area of central Pennsylvania, Maryland, parts of West Virginia, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. It is through membership in a Yearly Meeting that individual Quakers become connected with the larger Quaker movement worldwide. Friends from all the Meetings within Baltimore Yearly Meeting meet once a year for Annual Session.

In 2022, BYM Annual Session will take place August 1-7 at Hood College in Frederick, MD. Annual Session is the time our Yearly Meeting gathers to worship together, conduct business, attend workshops and plenaries, share meals, visit with one another, imagine our future, shop at the book and craft store, learn about our Yearly Meeting's history, sing, play, and grow in fellowship and Friendship. Childcare and teen programming is available, and a strong emphasis is placed on an intergenerational experience. Friends can attend for the entire week or just a day or two. This year, Annual Session uses a "Pay As Led" model, meaning a suggested rate is provided, but Friends register at the price they choose. Annual Session is "hybrid" this year - offering sessions online and in-person. However, if you plan to attend any event in-person, you must register by Friday, July 15th.
