Youth and Adult Activities
Sundays starting at 9:45 am, the Middle and High School group assembles for the week in review (good and new events for individuals in the group--fun stories, personal challenges, support from your friends) and a lesson or discussion on a topic that challenges young and old and relates Quaker practices to our times. How would you address a challenge in your life?
Also starting on Sundays at 9:45 am, the Elementary School group shares a story or lesson on Quaker practices and beliefs. Often a craft or creative movement activity is part of the lesson.
Each Sunday, child care is provided for infants and toddlers starting at 9:45 am. Books, toys, simple crafts, along with play time are incorporated into the time together.
Couples Group
Couples Group meets most months. This group has a pre-requisite of attending Couples Enrichment training prior to joining. The group establishes a safe and confidential environment in which to explore as a couple and as a group a variety of challenges that couples and families face. The group practices dialogue methods to help couples listen to and understand each other. We have an emphasis on positive growth in couples' relationships. An annual retreat allows time for focusing on dialoging techniques, some social time together, and usually extended time to work on an important issue in a couples' lives. The group practices in the manner of Friends with some time for silent worship. The group is open to couples from a variety of faith communities.
