Kennett Friends Fund for Immigrant Support
Kennett Friends Fund for Immigrant Support seeks to help stabilize immigrant families in our community who are facing hardship because of their immigrant status. We are particularly sensitive to the need for aid that other agencies can’t provide, and to be available to those who face barriers to accessing other aid.
We have provided funds for basic needs for families of those detained, and legal aid; aid for families in housing crisis; some funds to help with the cost of returning the deceased to Mexico to be buried with the family; and aid toward the education of an Unaccompanied Juvenile Minor, DREAMers, and a single mom who survived an abusive marriage.
