Potluck Supper: COW & Building Habitat Homes

Jim Clifton, coordinator for the Coalition of the Willing (several downtown churches) and their biennial project to build a Habitat for Humanity house, will join us this Friday, Sept 4. He'll give us background on COW as well as Habitat for Humanity . He'll also show slides of the current build on Florida St, less than one-half mile from our meetinghouse. The house goes up in about three months (July, August, Sept) with a big ribbon- cutting in October. The lucky new homeowner is part of the team.

Check with Doug Griggs if you're free to volunteer some Friday or Saturday to help with the actual build, or if you're available on Friday, October 2, to join our Quaker team to prepare and deliver lunch for eleven workers.

If childcare is needed, please call Joanna with 48 hours notice if possible.

Bring a dish to serve 6. Please label the contents of your dish... Don't have time to get a dish ready? Join us anyway.  There's always enough. NOTE: There are now pre-printed cards available at the Meetinghouse on which you can check off items in your dish of which Friends might be wary.
