Annual Candle-lighting Tradition, Friday, December 10, 2021

There are many traditions of bringing light into the darkness.  One that has been observed for over thirty years at Live Oak Friends Meeting is a simple candlelighting program where all participants add the light of their candle and the energy of their hope for the upcomng year. This year we will set up our circle in the meetinghouse and extend it to those who wish to join online.  Bring your own candle if online.

Singing carols has always been part of the evening, even last year online--if you wish to participate, join us at 6:30pm, online or in person for a half hour of singing.

Pre-pandemic, we had included a simple meal at 6 pm as a fundraiser for Right Sharing of Wold Resources (RSWR).  We don't feel ready to include that this year, and RSWR would still apprecate your contributions.

Zoom link will be in the newsletter, or email outreach@friendshouston.org to get it.
