Quakers in the Movies

Join David Butterworth, author of 'Celluloid Friends: Cinematic Quakers, Real And Imagined' (2017), as he revisits the portrayal of Quakers in commercial films. Via discussion and film clips, Butterworth will explore the accuracy and fairness of the portrayal of Friends and the Quaker experience in cinema. Copies of his book ($9)—and popcorn!- will be available.

David Butterworth is the creator and editor of the film review website, “La Movie Boeuf,” has served as Film Editor and contributor for OFFOFFOFF.com and has worked as staff writer and film critic for various publications.
