Meeting House Repairs

November was a busy month at our 175-year-old meetinghouse. Doolittle Construction workers completed much needed repairs to the meetinghouse’s failing foundation and floor beams. Nearly one- half of the community room’s floor was removed to enable workers to replace the floor beams, shore-up the column supports and access the foundation. They also installed moisture barriers in the crawlspace, and laid outdoor drains to provide additional moisture mitigation for the building.
Since we have not been able to use the meetinghouse throughout most of the pandemic, we have been able have the work done safely wihtout members inside.
