Multnomah Friends Meeting Library resumed lending books and pamphlets in January, using COVID-safe procedures.
Browse the collection of materials we have using the LibraryThing database (click for instructions).
To check out items you find in the LibraryThing database, email firstname.lastname@example.org with the author AND title or call Suzanne Smith 503-590-3023 or Kepper Petzing 503-284-2068. We will find your books, check them out to you, place them in a bag, and quarantine them prior to pickup.
Please make your request at least four days before curbside pickup day (see below). Testing done for public libraries has indicated that a quarantine of at least three days is safest practice. On your pickup day we will meet you in front of the Meetinghouse, masked, with your books. For our safety, no one should enter the Library, even if you happen to be at the Meetinghouse for other reasons.
Pickup will be at the front door, two Saturdays and two Wednesdays each month from 1:00-3:00pm.
We are asking Friends to return books and pamphlets within one month of pickup.
If you’re unable to get to the Meetinghouse, please call Suzanne or Kepper to arrange for a no contact dropoff or pickup at your home.
Lift and deepen your spirit with a good book!
