An Alternatives to Violence (AVP) weekend workshop will be held Feb 27, Feb 28, March 1. This is a BASIC workshop that requires no previous knowledge of the conflict resolution ideas that will be discussed. There are also advanced and trainer-level workshops that can follow once people have completed the basic workshop.

This is an intensive learning experience that offers participants a chance to practice creative conflict resolution methods and communication skills. It is a positive and affirming immersive experience, and chance to change self, community, and world.

The Nashville AVP team recently did training exercises for staff at Bailey Middle School. Historically Nashville AVP members have used their skills in schools and prisons.

Times (must attend all sessions to complete the workshop and get certificate):

Friday Feb 27 5-9pm (at Meetinghouse)

Saturday Feb 28 9-6pm (at Meetinghouse)

Sunday Mar 1 9-4pm (736 Georgetown Drive)

Registration is $40. Meals (lunch/snacks) are provided. Scholarships are available.
