New Haven Friends Meeting offers our building for meetings and retreats exemplifying Friends’ testimonies of community, integrity, simplicity, peace, and equality.   Our Caretaker can approve most one-time requests that fall into the following categories:

  • Quaker Organizations

  • Organizations in which the Meeting participates

  • Organizations in which a member or regular attender on the Meeting is a member

  • Non-profit services agencies, educational institutions and community organizations

  • Memorial Meeting for a person not connected to New Haven Friends Meeting

Free wi-fi is available throughout the building.

Driving Directions:  From Interstate 91, take Exit 8.  Follow signs to CT-80 east (Foxon Blvd.).  At Quinnipiac Avenue, turn right.  Go 1.1 miles to East Grand Avenue and turn left at traffic light.  Drive up long hill.  The meetinghouse is in the fifth block, right hand side of street.  Parking is permitted on both sides of the street, as well as in parking lot.

First Floor Rooms

  • Large meeting room with moveable chairs that comfortably seat 50-60 people.  Maximum allowed capacity=100 people
  • Library with table and seating for 6-8 people
  • Ramp to front door
  • Elevator to lower level

Lower Level Rooms

  • Large central room has rectangle metal tables and stacking chairs to seat approximately 50 people maximum
  • Two smaller classrooms that can seat 4-6 people
  • Kitchen with basic appliances for serving food
  • Ramp to back door
  • Elevator to First Floor
