Visit https://zoom.us/j/ 81828032335?pwd= OXk4NlpZMGxIYU9kbmFPSkV5dXBmZz09 to attend via Zoom. If you don’t have access to the internet, you can join by phone by calling 1-929-205-6099. Use Meeting ID 818 2803 2335 and passcode 604741 when prompted.

  • If you are new to Zoom, please consider arriving a few minutes prior to 10:30am for assistance.
  • Attenders will be muted upon entry to the Meeting.
  • If you have a message to share, please unmute yourself using your Zoom controls. There is an unmute button visible on the bottom left-hand corner of the screen (phone users can press *6 to unmute/mute).
  • Our Zoom calls are captioned with Zoom's automated captioning service.

To minimize distractions on Zoom, please consider the following recommendations:

  • Make sure you are in the center of the screen, adequately lit, and your camera is in a stable position
  • Dress as you would for an in-person Meeting for Worship
  • Minimize multitasking (e.g., responding to notifications, phone calls, etc)

Attend in person:

  • Following the Franklin County guidelines, we encourage a mask-friendly culture, one where attenders may choose to mask at any time.  People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask. Friends and attenders who are eligible to be vaccinated but have not been vaccinated wear masks when gathering in person.
  • We encourage Friends to leave a seat between yourself and the next person. Before sitting next to someone, please check with the other person first. We also encourage Friends to voice their needs in terms of practicing social distancing.
  • The Meeting Room will be split between on-camera and off-camera sections (labeled)
  • Friends in-person will be using a wired microphone to give messages. We will have a microphone near the Zooming computer that will be used to give in-person messages
  • At the moment, we will not have singing, hot water/snacks or childcare. The decisions to return to these activities will be made by the community in the future.

We are...

North Columbus Friends Meeting is a welcoming and inclusive Meeting of people seeking a personal and gathered experience of what has been called by a variety of names, such as God, the Inner Light, Truth, or the Transcendent. While Quakerism has its roots in Christianity, we understand that Truth may be spoken by people with a wide variety of backgrounds. We welcome those voices and invite people to share their inward experience of the Divine, whatever that may be.

We practice expectant waiting for the still, small voice within one another and ourselves. We strive to live in ways that reflect our inner experience of that wisdom. Often this coincides with common Quaker testimonies, such as equality, integrity, peace, community, simplicity, and stewardship of the natural world.

We publicly identify our Meeting as a place of refuge for our neighbors who might feel under threat. As Friends, we are committed to oppose discrimination and oppression in all forms. We strive to be inclusive of all people -- especially those who have historically been marginalized in our society.

We are open to participating in any ecumenical, interfaith and community events that promote unity, connection, dialogue and mutual respect; and oppose hate and division.

We invite you to join us on Sundays for Meeting for Worship at 10:30am to 11:30am. Welcome!

Vision Statement

Our Meeting matters and is worth cherishing. Worshiping together is exciting, simple, true, and real.

We envision our Meeting as a vibrant community inspiring, encouraging, and holding one another in all aspects of our lives.

We continue to learn how to live in community, one that is welcoming, safe, and equally accessible in all ways.

Our values are grounded in Quaker faith and practice which enable us to discern and follow leadings in our personal lives and with regard to the wider world.

We hope that when people discover us, they will feel invited in and that all will be enriched.
