On Oct 4, 2020, at Meeting with a Concern for Business, our Meeting approved a Statement on Free and Fair Elections,

Duluth Superior Friends Meeting (Quakers), as a faith community, expresses its support of a free and fair election.

The process of electing leaders to represent the people is the bedrock of democracy. We believe that our democratic system rests upon the innate dignity and worth of every citizen. Its laws provide equal protection to the vulnerable.

We oppose any threats to destabilize the election, including any actions that undermine citizens' trust in the integrity of our electoral system. We expect officials involved in any stage of the electoral process to assure that the vote of every citizen -- whether they vote in- person, drop box, or absentee ballot--is counted.
