The attached Rules and Regulations have been adopted by the Kennett Monthly Meeting of the Society of Friends in order to preserve and enhance the beauty and antiquity of the building and grounds and assure the permanence of an atmosphere of harm

In 2010, we embarked on a tricentennial restoration of Old Kennett. A new cedar shake roof was installed, at a cost of $22,000, followed by the wooden shutters and attendant hardware and doors.
The first shots of the Battle of the Brandywine were from this area, where colonists hid behind the stone walls of Old Kennett Meetin

Kennett Meeting House, now known as “Old Kennett,” was first constructed in 1710 on land donated by Ezekiel Harlan as a log structure.
