A Little Free Library has been erected by Oread Friends Meeting in celebration of the late Deborah (Misty) Gerner, a passionate reader, beloved member of Oread Friends Meeting, and editor of When the Rains Return: Toward Justice and Reconciliation in Palestine and Israel, published by the American Friends Service Committee.

Set beside a leafy trail next to the Meeting House, the weatherproof wooden box was decorated by the children in First Day School, and is meant to entice strollers to “take a book,” and later, return it or leave a different book.

The Little Free Library will be formally dedicated at 11:15am on April 30, 2017, following Meeting for Worship.
