The first Quarterly session in 2021 is January 24th. Our host, the Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting invites all to join in their First Day activities, hymn singing, worship and hospitality from 10 AM - 12:45 PM. Worshipful business opens at 1 PM with a welcome to new Clerk and officers, and CPMM's amazing presentation on ministries. Join in a wonderful group of Friends across Philadelphia and help shape the future of PQM!

Full Day Schedule

Friends are invited to experience CPMM's First Day morning activities below (the zoom links are included in your confirmation email after you have completed your Zoom registration).

10:00   Hymn singing is a regular part of First Day at Central Philadelphia MM thanks to member Sara Palmer who organizes it. 

11:00    Worship  (Zoom opens up at 10:45 for early settling in)

12:00    Announcements of all and sundry and

Congenial Hospitality - Zoom small group break out style. Meet up with old and new Friends until 12:45 PM

THEN, Friends all gather in the afternoon for our work together!

1 - 4 PM  Worshipful Quarter Business 

We will start with important business: approving and welcoming a new Quarter Clerk (Kathleen Karhnak-Glasby, CPMM member) and considering other new PQM officers. The Quarter is in an exciting place, and friends who want to be involved are very welcome.

1:15 ish  Host program: Working on Racial Healing, Equity & Justice - Inside Meetings, in Collaboration with Communities. CPMM Friends Chuck Esser and .O present their ministries - inside their monthly meeting and with the wider community, including POWER and Philly Thrives. Discussions follow and Friends are encouraged to share their own leadings with meetings and community.

2:15 ish After tackling items of business (see below for agenda) we will prayerfully reflect on how Spirit is moving in the Quarter since from October's Queries, and consider how the Quarter may support Quaker life in Philadelphia in 2021 and beyond.
