Together we nurture the spiritual vitality of Friends

Quaker Meeting of Melbourne

Quaker Meeting of Melbourne is a Member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), Southeastern Yearly Meeting. We welcome all seekers to join us in our weekly Meeting for Worship, every First Day (Sunday) of the week at 10:30 am. We have no dogma, no creed, no preachers, no sacraments. We believe in The Light Within, "That of God in Everyone," upon which our testimonies of Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality and Stewardship are based and which we strive to witness to the world in our daily lives. Join with us in the immediacy of a shared spiritual experience.

Quaker life and worship is based on our experience of the continuing revelation of the “Light within," and the process of discernment of that message within our Quaker community.  Come join us in worship.  You’ll find no preacher, dogma, or liturgy; no proselytizing, no pressure, not even a collection.  You will hopefully find peace and quiet and love; friendship and fellowship and sharing; a time for listening to God’s message, and sharing it with others. Regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or nationality, every person is a potential messenger and servant of the Living Truth. We are called to minister to one another, sharing pastoral responsibilities.

Quaker Meeting of Melbourne is a constituent Monthly Meeting of Southeastern Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (SEYM).  SEYM is affiliated with Friends General Conference (FGC), Philadelphia, PA, and Friends World Committee for Consultation, Division of the Americas (FWCC).
