Join Raleigh PACT as we call on the Raleigh City Council to protect HBCU students against biased policing, stand for community oversight, and defend the transparency of Raleigh's body cam policies. More information can be found here.

In the meantime, we urge you to sign this petition calling on the City Council to protect HBCUs from biased policing and surveillance by denying the request for a campus substation at Shaw University.

In the last few months:

- RPD has begun piloting a body cam program with policies that the public has never seen
- the Shaw University president has requested a substation on campus while students and community still have no meaningful way to hold police accountable for bias and misconduct
- the Raleigh City Council has remained silent while PACT and community leaders call for their support to create a powerful Community Oversight Board in Raleigh.

Help us send a message about what accountability, transparency, and safety really look like.
