At meeting for worship with attention to business on December 20, 2016 Raleigh Friends Meeting agreed to endorse the work of the Raleigh Police Accountability Community Task Force.
A speaker from Raleigh PACT also visited second hour on February 12 so that we could learn more about how RFM can  assist PACT.

You can visit the PACT web site at http://www.raleighpact.org to review more details about the goals and activities of the organization.
The coalition page http://www.raleighpact.org/coalition/ now lists RFM as a supporting organization and you can also review profiles of other organization that support PACT.

PACT also maintains a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/raleighpact/ where they regularly post news and notices of upcoming events.

Friends who feel led to become more involved with PACT can consider actions such as:

  • Attending liaison committee meetings
  • Signing up for action alerts
  • Subscribing to PACT’s email newsletter
  • Sending postcards to City Council members

You can sign up for actions at http://www.raleighpact.org/take-action/ and on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/raleighpact/app/100265896690345/

If you have ideas or questions about the best way for RFM to support PACT please speak with anyone on the Peace Social Concerns Committee.
