Communities against Islamophobia training

Raleigh Friends Meeting will be hosting Fatema Ahmad of the American Friends Service Committee's Communities against Islamophobia training on Sunday, 7/30/17 from 2pm-6pm in the meetinghouse. 

Overview
-Deeper analysis of Islamophobia
-Develop an analysis of Anti-Muslimism beyond individual acts to State Level Violence
-Ground the multiplicity of ways you and your communities are complicit in Anti-Muslim violence.
-Move allyship from individual, public acts towards supporting movements led by affected Muslim communities

WHAT THIS TRAINING IS NOT:
An introduction to Islam, or Islam 101.
It is not comprehensive. 
An anti-bullying workshop / bystander intervention
