In the summer of 2016, one of IPMW’s chaplains offered “Singing a New Song” for the women in the prison, led by local pastor/musicians.
Eight women completed this 10-week course and, as a group, wrote and composed over 25 songs that tell stories of how and why women come to be incarcerated as well as the depth of their spiritual response to the reality of imprisonment. This concert will be a unique opportunity to hear original songs and testimony, as well as to see the impact of IPMW's ministry at theprison.
Donations made at the concert will be used to further the work of helping incarcerated women prepare themselves spiritually, emotionally, psychologically and practically to establish successful new lives once they are released.
