ROANOKE QUAKERS: EVENT FOR PEOPLE INTERESTED IN QUAKERISM
Dear Friends/friends,
New to Quaker Meeting? Never been to Friends Meeting but curious about what Quakers believe? Haven’t been to Friends Meeting in a while? Have friends who are interested in Quakers?
Roanoke Friends Meeting will gather for a “Welcome/Welcome Back Celebration” on Sunday, October 3 at 10:30 AM (EST), through Zoom.
Schedule will be:
10:30 AM Meeting for Worship
11:30 AM Introductions
12:15 PM Panel-Experienced Friends will speak about Quakerism & questions-and-answers
The panel will consist of Paul Hibschman of Roanoke Friends Meeting speaking about Quaker beliefs; Tom Webb of Bethesda Friends Meeting speaking about Quaker worship; and Stephanie Bean of Adelphi Friends Meeting speaking about Quaker service.
Paul Hibschman is a member of the Roanoke Outreach Committee and is a retired mental health worker. Tom Webb is a member of the Baltimore Yearly Meeting Ministry and Pastoral Care Committee and is a musician. Stephanie Bean is the Annual Sessions Clerk of the Baltimore Yearly Meeting and is a massage therapist.
Please spread the word about the “Welcome/Welcome Back Celebration”. Please invite friends interested in Quakerism. Attend for all or part of the event. It should be an enjoyable and interesting time!
