Dear Friends/friends,

New to Quaker Meeting?  Never been to Friends Meeting but curious about what Quakers believe?  Haven’t been to Friends Meeting in a while?  Have friends who are interested in Quakers?

Roanoke Friends Meeting will gather for a “Welcome/Welcome Back Celebration” on Sunday, October 3 at 10:30 AM (EST), through Zoom.

Schedule will be:

10:30 AM             Meeting for Worship

11:30 AM             Introductions

12:15 PM              Panel-Experienced Friends will speak about Quakerism & questions-and-answers

The panel will consist of Paul Hibschman of Roanoke Friends Meeting speaking about Quaker beliefs; Tom Webb of Bethesda Friends Meeting speaking about Quaker worship; and Stephanie Bean of Adelphi Friends Meeting speaking about Quaker service.

Paul Hibschman is a member of the Roanoke Outreach Committee and is a retired mental health worker.  Tom Webb is a member of the Baltimore Yearly Meeting Ministry and Pastoral Care Committee and is a musician.  Stephanie Bean is the Annual Sessions Clerk of the Baltimore Yearly Meeting and is a massage therapist.

Please spread the word about the “Welcome/Welcome Back Celebration”.  Please invite friends interested in Quakerism.  Attend for all or part of the event.  It should be an enjoyable and interesting time!
