Monthly Meeting - This is the term given to local congregations which conduct monthly meetings for business.  Each meeting is independent

Yearly Meeting - Monthly meetings arre generally members of regional groups called yearly meetings.  Yearly meetings conduct annual meetings to conduct business and socialize.

umbrella organizations - In the United States, Yearly meetings are generally associated with one (sometimes two) group meetings having common faith and practices.  These are:

• Friends General Conference (FGC)
• Conservative Friends (CF)
• Friends United Meetings (FUM)
• Evangelical (EFI)
