New England Yearly Meeting

Monthly Meetings meet each month to worship to conduct business, and gather in Quarterly Meeting groups during the year. All members of the 69 monthly meetings in New England are members of the New England Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), which meets yearly in August to worship and conduct its business.

Friends General Conference

The Friends General Conference is an association of 14 Quaker regional yearly meetings in the United States, including the New England Yearly Meeting. Some of the monthly meetings in these fourteen yearly meetings are completely unprogrammed; some are unprogrammed in part. "Unprogrammed" means that meetings do not have a pastor to program the weekly meeting for worship.

Friends World Committee for Consulation

The Quaker community circles the globe, spanning a rich diversity of regional cultures, beliefs and styles of worship. Friends World Committee for Consultation programs unites Friends around the world through Spirit-led fellowship.

Windham Area Interfaith Ministry(WAIM)

Storrs Friends Meeting is an active participant in the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry (WAIM). The mission of WAIM is to uplift and unite the Windham area community by providing caring service and resources to meet our neighbors’ needs with dignity and respect. Without the support of its member faith communities, the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry could not provide all of its current services.

American Friends Service Committee

The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is a Quaker organization that includes people of various faiths who are committed to social justice, peace and humanitarian service. Its work is based on the principles of the Religious Society of Friends, the belief in the worth of every person, and faith in the power of love to overcome violence and injustice.

Friends Committee on National Legislation

The Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL) fields the largest team of registered peace lobbyists in Washington, DC. Founded in 1943 by members of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), FCNL staff and volunteers work with a nationwide network of tens of thousands of people from many different races, religions, and cultures to advocate social and economic justice, peace, and good government. FCNL is nonpartisan.

Quaker United Nations Office

The Quaker United Nations Office, located in Geneva and New York, represents Quakers through Friends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC). Since the founding of the United Nations in 1945, Quakers have shared that organization's aims and supported its efforts to abolish war and promote peaceful resolution of conflicts, human rights, economic justice and good governance.
