Friends House Moscow: Current Conditions in Russia and the Work of Friends in the Region

Join activist Julie Harlow as she discusses the unique contribution that Friends are making in the areas of the former Soviet Union. With her help, Friends House Moscow is supporting many positive grassroots movements, from helping orphans and disabled children to providing Alternatives to Violence counseling. Julie will discuss life in Russia today and the challenges of working as a Quaker activist and teacher.

A light supper will be provided followed by Ms. Harlow’s presentation.

Free and open to the public.
