Sponsored by CWA Local 1036 and Trenton Friends Meeting, there will be a program as part of the national Stand Against Racism action at the Trenton Friends Meetinghouse. Everyone is welcome. There will be an address by filmmaker Matthew Pillischer who has produced the recent documentary "Broken On All Sides" about race and the justice system. Matthew has recently moved to the area. He is an activist, lawyer and filmmaker.
Additionally, representatives from Eastern Service Workers Assn will present a brief reading of a portion of the African National Congress manifest from 1944 and connect it to current struggles.
Finally those present will have the opportunity to recite and commit to the Stand Against Racism pledge which people across the country are reading at similar events.
Light refreshments will be served. This lunch time program is designed to end in time for workers come on their lunch break and return to work.
