The Trenton 2017 Voice:Ear New Year Festival

The Friends of Trenton are opening the doors of the Meeting House on Hanover and Montgomery Streets for the 2nd Voice to Ear Festival. You are invited to share the space for an afternoon of songs, poems, story telling, dramatic readings, raps, comedy or anything that comes to mind that is voice only work. 

There will be no electronic augmentation and no instrumental accompaniment. Dramatic readings or performances by groups are encouraged. 

Please pick a category hour that best matches the audience you intend to hear your work. Please invite those that you know who have inclination or ambition to use their voice to communicate in public.  

Please be prepared to perform a piece under 4 minutes in length. 

January 2, 2017 is an observed holiday.

We will begin with
Children’s Hour 12:00PM - 1PM 
One Hour of story telling, poetry, raps, or songs for children or by children under the age of 14. 

1PM - 2PM Songs and Tales of Love
One Hour of Devotional hymns, poetry, raps, gospel or readings of any kind within the theme of love.

2PM - 3PM History, Drama and Poetry
One Hour of arts, sciences, raps, animal imitations, musings, lectures, comedy.

3PM - 4PM Free for All
Experimental or abstract readings, raps, or performances of anykind. The hour will not be censored and will be considered for mature audiences. 

To be listed in the program please contact us in advance with a title and a reahearsed length of the work to be presented.
