Unami Friends Meeting
Until we can meet again in the meeting house, Unami will conduct our First Day Meeting for Worship using Zoom. The Zoom session will start at 10:50 a.m. EST, with a 10-minute set-up and training time for those of you who have not used ZOOM before. Meeting for Worship will start at 11:00 a.m. EST and end at Noon EST. “Twilight” time following worship will now be followed by a time of “worship sharing.” The “worship sharing” time will give us the opportunity during this difficult time to tell how we’re doing—What have been our joys and sorrows, our opportunities, our concerns, our frustrations. What we’re doing to feel peaceful and mindful. What we’re doing when we’re feeling anxious. The format will be Quaker Dialog, where everyone gets a chance to share (if they want), followed by a brief silence. This is not a time for conversations, suggestions, etc. A member of the Unami Worship & Ministry committee will lead the “worship sharing” portion of our meeting. Unami Monthly Meeting will be closed for Meeting for Worship in order that we do our part to contain the spread of COVID-19. The reopening will be based on what transpires in the pandemic and the advice of local, state, and federal officials.
You may join us in a Zoom conference where we have a Meeting for Worship on Sunday morning.

May you find other ways to enrich your faith these days changing from spring to summer. Since the meetinghouse belongs to all of us and is a place we have found peace, members and attenders are welcome to the silence of the meetinghouse on any day. Email any of us if you don’t know the door code.
We pray for the health of our neighbors in the World and hold in the Light all those upended by the threat of the virus.
In Peace,

What do we do in silent worship?
We come together in silence:
To listen to the Spirit
To grow in our faith
To support each other
To help one another follow the Light within.
Quaker Testimonies are ways Quakers have
found to live and act based on our beliefs. As
a group we find that listening to and following
leadings of the Spirit leads to:
Worship with us!
